Quietist Poem #6 Empty
PostSubject: Quietist Poem for Teaching #6   Quietist Poem #6 EmptyToday at 10:48 am

In the sanctuary of the soul, a hush descends,
Where whispers of the heart to Heaven ascend.
No words are needed here, for silence speaks
The humblest, purest prayers our spirits seek.

Threefold is the cloak that veils our plea,
The first of speech, the second, quieted need.
The first is born of faith, the second still,
Where desires are stilled, and hearts find thrill.

But deep within the core of silent night,
The third, most perfect, silence takes its flight.
Where thoughts dissolve into the abyss,
And in that quietude, we find our bliss.

For here, in God's embrace, we truly pray,
Without a word, in perfect, tranquil sway.
The mind's tumult subsides, the soul takes flight,
To realms where darkness turns to light.

The Lord is present, in each quiet breath,
Guiding, healing, till our spirits rest.
The noiseless symphony of love we share,
Where words are lost, but God is there.

In this, the cloister of the inward eye,
We find the wisdom that will never die.
In silent awe, we stand before the throne,
Where love alone is fully known.

Our prayers, once loud with want and care,
Now whispered softly, gently fare.
Till they dissolve into the vast expanse,
Where God alone can understand.

And Jesus speaks to us, in whispers faint,
The secret of the holy, quiet paint.
Within the closet of our deepest core,
We find the peace that we ignored.

For in the absence of our clamoring din,
His voice emerges, pure, like morning's thin.
We pray in silence, as we are one,
With God, our hearts forever spun.

The first silence learns us to abide,
The second, peace within us to confide.
But in the third, we reach the sacred place,
Where God and soul in silent grace,
Embrace the stillness of eternal love,
Where words are gone, but hearts connect above.

So pray without ceasing, let your soul take flight,
In quietude, you'll find the purest light.
The more you seek in silent, sacred shrine,
The closer God will be, forever thine.
