| Hush, my heart, in quietude we seek, Where whispers of the divine may speak. In silence, let us pray and cease, From worldly chains, our souls to free and release.
The first, of words, a gentle start, Where praise and pleas begin to part, Our tongues in hushed obeisance we lay, To find the strength to walk the Way.
The second, of desires, more profound, Where earthly wants no longer hold us bound, We rest in peace, our spirits light, In God's embrace, we find our might.
The third, of thoughts, the deepest plume, Where mind and heart in union bloom, No clamor, no demand, no sigh, Within this sanctum, God is nigh.
In mystic silence, perfected thus, We touch the hem of Holy trust, Where prayers ascend in silent flight, To dwell with God, in boundless light.
No words can hold the sacred hue, Of love that speaks in quietude, The stillness speaks of faith's own art, Where God and soul may be as one heart.
In solace deep, our thoughts unroll, A sacred scroll of the soul's own scroll, Where God, the author of our breath, Inscribe the truth, our souls to quench.
As Jesus taught, in secret place, We find the fullness of His grace, Within our hearts, a sanctuary, Where heaven and earth may marry.
In silent vigil, we abide, Where whispers of the Almighty glide, And in this quietude, so vast, We find the peace that everlasts.
So let us pray without ceasing, In wordless awe, our spirits freeing, For in this silence, pure and vast, We come to know our souls' true cast.
And as we listen for His reply, Within the depths, where thoughts must die, We find the wisdom, clear and bright, That guides our way through day and night.
Hush, my heart, in quietude we pray, Where love and peace forever stay. For in this silent sanctity, We find the Lord who shows the way. | |
